Sidratul Moontaha received two international awards in 2021


Sidratul Moontaha received two international awards in 2021 for contributing to the tech community. She received The Diana Award, the highest accolade a young person can achieve for social action or humanitarian efforts. Established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, the Award is given out by the charity of the same name. Another Award is SheInspires 2021 Award under Global Rising Star Category. Based in the UK, SheInspires Awards celebrate the huge wealth of outstanding contributions women have made to the world. She is the first Bangladeshi to receive this award.
She was invited to Paris, France by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs as a Government Guest under the Future Leaders Invitation Programme. She is the first person in tech from Bangladesh who got the privilege after 32 years of the programme. She visited the Foreign Ministry, the Finance Ministry, corporate tech companies, and tourist spots during her visit to Paris. She has been selected as a Young Commonwealth Leader by The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust. She was featured in the London-based magazine Million STEM as a visible role model to the next generation of girls.
She received the “Inspiring Female in Tech” award organized by the Women in Leadership and Bangladesh Brand Forum. She also received the 4th Industrial Revolution Skills Award from our honorable ICT State Minister.
Sidratul’s interest and expertise broadly lie in developing technology solutions for sustainable development. She is the Founder and CEO of InnoVerse Foundation. Under the foundation, she is leading an international project called Mangrove Conservation with Artificial Intelligence in Bangladesh. She works as Chapter Ambassador (Country Director) for Technovation Bangladesh. Founded in the United States, Technovation is a global tech education nonprofit that offers interactive learning programs in which young people learn how to use artificial intelligence and app-based technologies to solve real-world problems. She is the Digital Incubation Lead of the UNICEF GenU imaGen Ventures Youth Challenge.
