
Full Name: Sheikh Tanzim Meraj Graduation year: 2015, Brief Biography: Sheikh Tanzim Meraj received his B.Sc degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2015. He received his M.Eng degree from the Department of electrical and computer engineering, Curtin University Malaysia, Miri, Malaysia with Dean’s letter in 2018. He worked as a graduate assistant (GA) in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Perak, Malaysia from 2019 to 2022. He concurrently worked as an Assistant Lecture in UTP. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. degree with the School of Engineering, Deakin University, Geelong, Victoria, Australia. He is also working as a Research Assistant under the industry collaboration between Deakin University and AusNet Electrical Services, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He has published more than 35 articles in reputed journals and conferences under IEEE and Elsevier. His google scholar citation is currently 522 with an H-index of 13. He is also an active reviewer in multiple high impact journals.
Career highlights:
1. His Masters’ thesis got recommendation from the Dean of the Faculty, Curtin University Malaysia.
2. His proposed research titled “Development of a Digital Micro-Grid Controller for Hydrogen Production via Electrolysis” got 500,000 RM funding from Prototype Research Grant Scheme (PRGS), Malaysian Science & Technology Information Centre (MASTIC).
3. One of his published articles got recognition from Elsevier for contributing towards United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and helping to tackle some of the world’s greatest challenges.
4. His current RA project titled “Performance Analysis of Compensated Distribution Networks in Bushfire Prone Areas-Stage 2” got industrial funding of 120,000 AUD from AusNet Electrical Services Pty ltd, Australia.

3. He won the highly reputed Deakin University Post Graduate Research Scholarship (DUPRS) to pursue his PhD degree from Deakin University, Australia.
